What better way is there than to wake up in the morning with a prayer of thanksgiving! Tuesday morning thankful prayers can be a wonderful way to start your day. You may be wondering why is it called Tuesday morning prayer? This is simply because Tuesdays are often the day of the week when stress is slowly starting to build up inside of us. After Monday is through we now know all the upcoming tasks and responsibilities we have to attend to in the coming days of the week. By God’s grace we have access to His great throne to help us get through the week.
My Daily Habit
Setting aside time every Tuesday for a daily prayer of thanksgiving truly centers my thoughts on the good things God has given me instead of my worries. At times I will even use a journal or post it note to write down these blessings that I am thankful for. I prefer using post it notes as I can place them around my home as a way to remind me to refocus my thoughts throughout the week.
It seems the best place for me to place these prayers of thanksgiving is where I spend most of my time. For example, the kitchen, the mirror in my bathroom or on the cabinet in my laundry room. This way I am constantly reminded of the prayers I prayed on Tuesday and the feeling of thanksgiving follows me throughout the week.
I hope to inspire you to take up this practice as well. It has been such a blessing in my life and is such an easy habit to make.
Here I will share with you some of my own personal Tuesday morning prayers. You can personalize them however you’d like and gain some direction on making your very own. If you are looking for more personalized prayers for your family or friends check out my previous blog post.
With these powerful morning prayers you will have a blessed Tuesday!
Enjoy!
Tuesday Morning Thankful Prayers
1) Heavenly Father, I am so thankful for this new day that You have given me. Thank You for the chance to start fresh and begin again. Teach me to look forward to each day and see it as a blessing. Forgetting what has past and looking forward to the new. Thank you for forgiving me of all my sins past, present and future. I praise you as I meditate on your loving kindness to me.
2) Dear Lord, thank You for giving me strength to face whatever this day may bring. I know that with You by my side I can overcome anything and you are a strong tower in which I can hide. When I do come face to face with a struggle help me to call on Your name to give me strength. Teach me to rely on you more and myself less. I am forever grateful to You as you support me through all the different seasons of my life.
3) Dear God, thank you for the many blessings You have given me. I am so grateful for Your great love and provision. You have given me so many beautiful things. As I look around me today give me eyes to see each and every blessing that has come from Your hand. Do not let me dismiss even the tiniest blessing as everything in my life should be seen as glorious gifts of God. Thank you Almighty God for the tender care you put into choosing these gifts for me.
4) Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being my constant friend and companion. I am never alone o Lord, You are always by my side with steadfast love. Even when there is only silence surrounding me incline my ear to hear your still small voice. Help me to make room for silence in my life so I can hear you better. I am grateful that you long to speak words of encouragement and wisdom to me Lord. I want to hear you today.
5) Dear heavenly father, thank You for leading and guiding me with your sweet Holy Spirit each blessed day. I need Your wisdom and strength to make it through. As troubles assail me remind me that o God that You are my anchor in the storm. If no one else knows the troubles I face I can take comfort that you do know because you are my almighty father. Thank you for being my beacon of hope on my path today.
In Jesus Christ holy name, amen.

Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:25-26
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
